Dear Mary,
I have nearly failed at your book challenge. So far I've only read this:

And this:

And this:
But I started this;
And I totally intend to finish it. There have been lovely stories on NPR about To Kill a Mockingbird, because it is the 50th anniversary of its (its'? it's?) publication.
So I'm making a new list. A realistic one. Yes I am. I have 7 weeks left in my summer vacation. Whoa that sounds scary.
1. Cesar's Way - Ceasar Millan
2. To Kill a Mockingbird - Harper Lee (finish it)
3. The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo - Stieg Larsson
4. The Tipping Point - Malcom Gladwell
5. Catching Fire - Suzanne Collins
6. The Female Brain - Louann Brizendine
7. The Red Tent - Anita Diamante (finish this one, too)
I'm gonna do it, because I have to get into a reading habit or I won't survive graduate school. This is life or death.
Sincerely,
Me

it's = contraction for it is
ReplyDeleteits = possessive for "it" as a noun replacement.
Tyler's reading To Kill A Mockingbird as well. Same reason.
You are so awesome. I love it. :)
ReplyDeleteAnd To Kill a Mockingbird is wonderful. I remember reading it in high school, and thinking it was okay, but probably not really getting too much out of it. I read it again in college, and dang. It's a fantastic book.
Also, don't get too discouraged with the time limit thing. Like I said, I kind of cheat because about a third of my books have been audio books. (Which is really the best way to experience David Sedaris anyway)
